MEDIBUDDY APP ! AVOID AT ALL COSTS !

  Currently there are lot of medical apps in the market.We choose this kind of medical apps for convenience sake and quick response during emergencies.Medibuddy is one such  popular medical app endorsed by our great Big B who endorses anything and every thing just for money. I believed in Big B's endorsement and subscribed  to Medibuddy app ,only to realise later that I have been taken for ride by Big B for his selfish interests.So I am writing this to caution you not fall into the scrap of Medibuddy,like I fell.

Three days back I heard that one of my colleagues had lost his life because of Medibuddy's gross negligence in delivery of life-saving drugs in time.The ordered medications are to be taken every 3 hours.The poor man was suffering from Parkinson's disease which required a tablet to be taken every 3 hours .On 18th of April Medibuddy confirmed his order and asked him to collect the medicine from the local tie-up pharmacy.When he went for the medicine he got a shocking SMS saying that the order has been cancelled unilaterelly ! On19th morning he passed away sadly.Maybe he died due to natural reasons but his friends do feel that the shock of cancellation of the confirmed order on the previous day by Medibuddy and brak in schedule could be one reason for his untimely demise.

Here's the incident narrated by his friend:

LOST OUR PENSIONER DUE TO MEDIBUDDY ATROCITIES*

Shri. G A***** P****** was retired from our XXX office.

He is suffering from Parkinson and taking his medicines regularly without gap.

For every three hours he is taking medicine.

He had called me for placing order to medibuddy.

Hence I had visited his house on 18/04/2023 and place the order.  All medicines were available and the prescription was properly uploaded.

Everything run smoothly and the store pick up option was given as the Appollo pharmacy is in next street from his residence.

It asked for 1/3 rd amount to be paid by card or net banking. His card was not working for that payment. He is not having Internet Banking facilities.

Hence I had put my INB id and password and make payments .

Apollo shop keeper phoned to him and deliver the medicines in the evening on 18th itself.  Hence he had not purchased medicines from outside.

In the same day  he had received the message as Order Cancelled, the reason is OUR MEDICAL PARTNER IS NOT ABLE TO DELIVER THE MEDICINES.

 It is surprising for this message as, when the shop keeper ready to deliver the medicines .

He had talked to me yesterday,  regarding this and awaiting for this medicines, he had not taken medicines .

Without medicine he lost his life in early morning.

We have to stop the atrocities of this Medibuddy by giving false messages to curtail our purchases and utilisation of our subsidy.

They are doing many tactics like giving call to us , one or two words spoken and disconnect the call, sometimes missed call before attending calls cut.

Okay,now why should you avoid Medibuddy at all costs?

Here is my take.

• Medibuddy is basically a money minded medical aggregator and not service minded atleast to make money.They are more like MNCs trying to make money over one's dead bodies if only that earns.They have no basic scruples or morals for being in the medical industry in which money should not be the sole driving force.Compassion,concern and timeliness is a must for this field.
• I am a heart patient and have been on a particular medication for years together .When I ordered for this medicine recently,duly supported by my cardiologist prescription,Medibuddy simply refused to take the order saying that it is against their rules. I said I have to take it every night ,otherwise I can't sleep. I have been doing it last 5 years or so. Medibuddy man did not empathise with me and simply kept on saying that it is against their rules ,that is all finished. Then I had to run to the local shops and get those essential medicines.
• The next worst Medibuddy atrocity is the unilateral cancellation of confirmed orders.Once an order is confirmed,the patient feels at peace and is in a expectant mood.Imagine,instead of receiving the medicines he get some message that your order is cancelled,that is all !They don't make any alternate arrangements.It is for you to run around for the medicines at the last minute to save your life!
• All medical apps like UR World of Apollo Pharmacy have a good support system for red dressing the grievances of the patients but Medibuddy is an exception.You have to struggle to make a complaint as the app is not customer friendly at all.There is no provision for making a complaint straight.For example,in the case of food delivery giant Swiggy, the moment you enter the support section,all your orders will appear on the screen.You can just click on the order you want to complain about, then a drop down menu gives you all possible types of complaints.You will have to just select your choice and you get response within a few minutes!It's as simple as that but here in Medibuddy you will have to struggle to find out where you can raise a complaint in the support section which aims at making money by cross selling products and not to address your complaints or grievances.
• My recent order for medicines for Rs 1086 was fully paid but I found out that they had debited extra Rs 736 from my wallet balance.I had to struggle to get the refund of the extra charged Rs 736.Support section was of no help .Since I got exhausted,I tweeted a complaint through Twitter.Even then they did not bother to set it right till date.Here is my tweet to Medibuddy endorsed to Amitabh:

• Another surprising absence of a common facility is that Medibuddy does not have COD option which is the most popular option among the patients.Since Medibuddi is keen on making money it insists on online advance payment so that it can enjoy crores of rupees as free floating funds .In case of cancellation they take a long time to refund amount which means again free floating funds .In COD mode amount is received only after delivery.So it avoids it.
• Medibuddy claims to have an all India presence which is is not true.When I ordered for some very easily available medicines,I got them delivered from a pharmacy 700 km from my home town which is a corporation city. So, if they don't have presence in a Corporation City, how do they claim that they have all India presence?This again is a misleading info by Big B !
• Medibuddy also insists in sharing our location details which is used by them for their money making cross selling business.Why should I share my location details for a company that just sells me medicines ?This is a grossly unreasonable demand and if you refuse the app will not function !That is just pure exploitation !
• Many more to share but I feel that this is enough for you to take a decision on the app.I am trying to wriggle out of Medibuddy rather Medienemy now but I don't find a way out because of corporate tie-up wallet balance.
