HINDI ONLY ! IS NOT JUST A LANGUAGE POLICY BUT MUCH MORE !
Hindi imposition is the talk of the country right now.The agitation against Hindi imposition is growing day by day and has assumed new forms like T-shirt wearing with the slogan'Hindi theriyathu poda' in Tamil Nadu.
However,even now, some people do wonder why we should fight against innocent Hindi !After all, it is one more language; nothing more than that. If that is your view too,I'm afraid you are grossly mistaken!
Here is why!
'HINDI ONLY'IS ACTUALLY A MULTI-FACED DISGUISED BUNCH OF DESTRUCTION POLICIES!!
Though ,on the face of it,Hindi only policy appears to be just an innocent language policy only , when you start reckoning the possible consequences of continuous implementation of the policy at national level ,one would start seeing the hidden faces of the policy.
Now what are the possible consequences ? Let's take a close look.
- Indian citizens with Hindi as mother tongue will be born 'employment ready' where as all non -Hindi citizens will be born unfit for employment!This is bound to give a head start for the Hindians and make them 1st class citizens from birth while all non Hindi citizens become 2nd class citizens automatically ab initio! Thus this language policy is a disguised de facto CITIZENSHIP POLICY and 'DISCRIMINATION POLICY' based on one's birth!
- Now ,when there is a competition between a person having Hindi as mother tongue and one who has a non Hindi language as mother tongue, the former can easily beat the latter in a Hindi exam! Thus non- Hindians will be deprived of their employment opportunities automatically.Thus the innocent-looking language policy turns into a disguised EMPLOYMENT POLICY !
- At present all economic opportunities in a particular State are linked to the knowledge of of the State language. For example, for even any self-employment opportunity in the state of Tamil Nadu, one has to know Tamil compulsorily.This knowledge of mother tongue linked to to the economic opportunities in the particular State will undergo a dramatic change after the Hindi only policy ,as all Hindians will grab all economic opportunities in this State.The scope for even self employment for a person who doesn't know Hindi,will stop for ever.In the circumstances this Hindi only policy turns into a disguised ECONOMIC POLICY!
- After a few decades of Implementation of the Hindi only policy, the States languages are bound to die a natural death.For example ,Marwari, Rajasthani, Bhojpuri have already died because they have been swallowed by Hindi .Consequently, these ethnic and linguistic communities are bound to become extinct in due course.Thus, the Hindi only policy turns out to be a disguised ETHNIC CLEANSING POLICY !
- As Hindi Only policy makes every Hindian a 1st class citizen and others as subordinate citizens, an automatic domination and a hegemony of Hindians becomes inevitable in the long run. Thus Hindi only policy turns out to be a disguised DOMINATION AND HEGEMONY POLICY !
- Hindi at the most is not even a few 100 years old in a country which boasts of having the oldest language of the world Tamil ,that is more than 10000 years old !Hindi is a primitive,undeveloped,native-speaker less,mediocre language.Believe it,Hindi does not have a word for' tomorrow'!If such a primitive language is allowed to rule over Tamil which has 60 words for 'elephant' ,well, mediocrity will rule over merit in the long run.Thus Hindi only policy turns out to be a disguised a MEDIOCRITY ANTI-MERIT POLICY! - Among the languages of the world ,Tamil stands out unique as the oldest language ,CLASSICAL FULFILLING ALL 11 FACTORS and still spoken in the world.Indian government can boast of this fact and sell it as a tourism attraction.Instead ,if the youngest primitive language Hindi is allowed to rule over it ,then the policy turns out to be an ANTI-TAMIL POLICY of destroying Classical heritage!
- Any language is a 'people's' identity ,embodiment of their culture,values ,way of living and thinking etc.So,language is a values/culture package that has been developed over centuries and so not worth losing. For example, while Sanskrit promotes superstitions , Tamil promotes logical thinking and scientific approach in everything, Hindi only is bound to promote a primitive ways of undeveloped thinking and living.Please note that none of our great thinkers or leaders are from Hindi background. Take a look on this small sample !
A great language is developed by great people .Similarly,a great language begets great leaders/thinkers. If Hindi couldn't produce great men ,it sure is a reflection of its low calibre. If such a language is imposed on the entire nation, development of leadership qualities will be the first casualty. Most developed culture like Tamil will be ruled by a primitive and arrogant linguistic group which refuses to learn the language of the land .Thus Hindi policy turns out to be a LEADERSHIP POLICY as well. - This policy assigns special privileges based on one's birth in a Hindian family.Thus the policy turns out to be' caste policy' as it is based based on birth.People having Hindi as mother tongue automatically becomes privileged Brahmins based on birth through this policy .So, the policy turns out to be disguised 'CASTE POLICY' too.
- In due course,the Hindians will grab all opportunities in non-Hindi States and residential status too.They will gain voting powers and sttart ruling non-Hindi States.Thus ,the language policy turns out to be a disguised 'TERRITORY EXPANSION POLICY' by an undeclared non-war move.
Other state people should understand.
